RPSC RAS 2024 Selection Process
The selection process for the Rajasthan Administrative Services 2024 consists of three stages, which are Prelims, Mains and Interviews. Candidates who are eligible and interested in sitting in this exam may check the details about it from the below.
Prelims:
- Mode: Offline
- Duration: 3 Hours
- Type of Questions: Objective
- Total Marks: 200
- Number of Questions: 200
- Marking Scheme:
- Each correct answer carries 1 mark.
- 1/3rd of the marks assigned to the question are deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Medium: English and Hindi
- Section: General Knowledge & General Science
- Number of Questions: 150
Mains:
- Mode: Offline (Descriptive/Analytical)
- Duration: 3 hours per paper (for each paper)
- Total Marks: 800 (200 marks for each paper)
- Marking Scheme: Each paper is of 200 marks.
- Medium: English and Hindi
- Sections:
- Paper-1: General Studies-I
- Paper-2: General Studies-II
- Paper-3: General Studies-III
- Paper-4: General Hindi and General English
Interview:
- Mode: Face-to-Face
- Total Marks: 100
- Marking Scheme: Marks are awarded based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.
- Medium: English and Hindi
Candidates who will apply will be called for Prelims, which will be followed by Mains and Interviews. The first stage will be just a screening test, the final selection list will be prepared based on candidates’ performance in the last two stages.
RPSC RAS 2024 Exam Pattern
A preliminary exam is a screening test, and only a limited number of candidates will be called for the Main Exam. The marks scored in the preliminary exam will not be counted in the merit list.

Full Form of RAS
The RAS is known as The Rajasthan Administrative Service. This is a state civil service for Rajasthan, along with the Rajasthan Accounts Service, Rajasthan Police Service, and other state services. The Rajasthan Administrative Service officers are included in the state cadre of civil service officers and also these officers can be promoted to the IAS after around 18 years of service. The procedures for internal departmental promotions involve The Union Public Service Commission.
How to apply for RPSC RAS Recruitment 2024?
The step-by-step process for the RPSC RAS Application Form is described below:
- Visit, RPSC’s official website @rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.
- Click the ‘Apply Online link
- Select, ‘Recruitment Portal’
- Register using ‘Time Registration (OTR)
- Fill out the Application Form and make the payment using the Recruitment Portal services
- Application ID will be generated
Candidates must note the following points while using the RPSC Apply Online portal for the Application Process:
- Once payment is successful, avoid using any other portal or service
- Payment once successful, will not be refunded
- To make any changes in the application form, the Commission would announce a date by which one
- has to make amendments
- Register the active mobile number
- There is no avenue to apply offline.
